Isn't Life Busy?

When people tell me they are too busy to attend my Scrapbook Workshops, I feel like saying "Yes, life is busy for us ALL!" And it IS!
I went to Disneyland this March, with my son, Bryan and his family! This is only my second time! I walked 21,144 steps the first day. (Yes, I wear a pedometer!) Thanks for Sketcher Shape Ups. After returning, it took me two weeks to feel like I was caught up from the trip!
I have been doing a lot of yard and gardening work, because once the Houston heat hits, I am done!
Then my church work includes helping families get their food storage in order. So, a lot of phone calls. I am using MailChimp now, and that was a bit of a learning curve, but I can send out awesome mail campaigns, track them and stay on top of things better.
So I am working on a Creative Memories campaign mailing for all the specials that are coming out, workshop postings and ReTreat info.
And I have turned a walkin closet into a food storage closet. I am so proud of that effort! Anything that makes me feel more organized makes me feel like my time is well spent! TaTa for now! Karyn

Happy New Year for us All!

A new year! 2011! Just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?
My son, on his jibberjobber.com blog says that new goals for the year last until the end of January! So, we'll see!
This year I want to:
Lose weight, of course, but more than that, get stronger and healthier. Melissa will join me. Maybe I can influence more to jump in on that.
Become ever so much more computer savvy.
Learn that dadgum Cricut Gypsy....I'll have to get help on that.
Grow my Creative Memories business through workshops, classes and retreats.
Read the New Testiment all the way through.
Have a fun and successful family reunion.
Finish the Alba Storybook that I started a long time ago!
Make some more digital and traditional albums through my Creative Memories business opps.
Look for the good in the world, in my family and in individuals.
Be a better person.
Hope y'all have a wonderful future this year!

Whirlwind life

Ever since I returned from my VA visit, I have been catching up! Guess you know the feeling. Also, I am a little spaced out from a cold/allergies. I worked on my garden diligently everyday...wish the birds would leave my food alone;(. I am clearing off my dining room table of my current photo project, and getting ready for my CM Open House this Saturday. I think I am excited about both projects...clearing off the table and getting ready for my customers. I have discounted products and fabulous new products...we'll see which one goes first!
Tomorrow I am going to a Brian Tracy Seminar. I am a note-taker, so I'll be wearing out some lead! Before I go to see my next grandchild, Brayson, next week, I have the Seminar, the Open House, my Social Networking group meeting, Book Club and a baby shower...plus all my other duties. Holy Cow! what is wrong with me?!?!?!

Landon and Virginia

One down! Dave and I visited our daughter's family last week! Kista and I got to attend a Digital Bootcamp, so we are more familiar with Storybook and all it can do to make our digital projects. Then we celebrated Landon's daddy and Landon's birthday and Cinco de Mayo at the same time! Talk about multi-tasking. Landon has 1 year molars coming, a double ear infection and a weird baby booty rash. He can't walk yet, he can't talk yet and he eats funny....but he sure is CUTE! Now I only have 8 1/2 more grandkids to see this summer!

Just a second

I have just a second before I head downtown for an all day crop! I have a bunch of pages all laid out, and can hardly wait to see the finished projects! Now that's impatience! I'm taking my camera to get ideas and see some pretty neat stuff. Yes, the family is on it's own for the day!Next week I will go to a digital Bootcamp and learn all the bells and whistles of Creative Memories' Storybook Plus....Yea! I've seen some remarkable books made and want to do it too!

What's new

I got to do what I love doing....helping someone to be excited about digital scrapbooking! I struggle to keep it basic, since I really can get wired up about all the creative things to do! It was rewarding to hear my customer say that she wanted to go home and "play" with her Memory Manager and her Storybook Creator...YEA!
I have multiple projects going on - Dave's family history, RS page prints and soon a grandson's poster. Still having fun!

Welcome to my Simply the Best Life!

I want to share with you all that I see around me as the best of life! I'll draw from my own experiences and from other folks who have shown me how wonderful life is. I wish our media would have more of the positive experiences that are all around us!
Just to start, Dave and I celebrated our 39th Wedding Anniversary with an overnight stay at the Omni Hotel! We have been travelers all our lives, but we really liked this hotel. The price was low, it is a 4 Star (I think), and they pay attention to all the little touches that make you say "Wow, look at that!" We enjoyed our stress-free weekend together. There is nothing like renewing love, goals and thoughts with my honey-bunny! Anyway, I would recommend this hotel, and I want to see if there are anymore Omni's outside of Texas!
